Add an option to remove the html text in the mail.

Thank you for sharing your idea to remove HTML from emails. I cannot think of a way to have MDaemon remove all HTML content from an email message. Can you help me to better understand why you are wanting to do this?

Have the ActiveSync connections appear on the Sessions Tab
On the Sessions tab you can see all of the WorldClient, IMAP, POP3, SMTP and OC connections, but not the ActiveSync ones.
Have the ActiveSync connections appear on the Sessions Tab on the server as well. This would allow a single unified panel for viewing current connections.
3 votesHello Steve,
Thank you for submitting your idea to include ActiveSync Sessions on the Sessions tab in MDaemon. There are some difficulties with doing this because if a “PUSH” method is not being used, ActiveSync sessions may only last for a second. Clients connect post an HTTP message receive a response and disconnect. If we tried to add these to the Sessions tab the connection would be complete before we were able to add to the list.
If a “PUSH” method is in use for a client we could display that as a session.
Are you wanting to see all ActiveSync connections show up on the Sessions tab or just the ones using a “PUSH” method?
Thanks,

Option/support to use memory, instead of disk; for anti-spam, Cfilter, and WorldClient
Under heavy volume (especially a 50% spam rate), CFilter and MSpamD's normal behavior may slow down drive access. Also, WebDaemon becomes erratic and unusable during periods of high volume: this partly from the fact it too uses the HDD for temporary files. The only option to alleviate any of this involves use of a RAMdrive: which I am currently testing, but pretty sure most admins would be uncomfortable with. Whatever can be done in memory, that would not compromise operations; should be supported by default. This would also help SSD users avoid unnecessary drive writes as well: since files/data that…
2 votesHello Michael,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us. Without knowing more about your setup I can’t say for sure but you may be able to improve performance by altering your configurations and/or optimizing the hardware that MDaemon uses. MDaemon is very I/O intensive but solid state drives are usually only necessary in very large installations. We have some recommended hardware specifications available by user size at http://www.altn.com/Products/MDaemon-Email-Server-Windows/System-Requirements/. Alternatively our technical support team would be happy to try to help optimize your server. If you are interested you can find all of our support options at http://www.altn.com/Support/. With all of that being said, thank you for your suggestion to optimize the message processing by making better use of the available RAM. We will consider this for future versions of MDaemon.

WorldClient session counter?
Hello. I would like to see some way of knowing how many WorldClient sessions are connected without having to count them on the Sessions/WordClient tab.
1 voteHello David,
Thank you for sharing your suggestion. MDaemon 13.5, which is currently in beta, has the ability to show the number of WorldClient sessions that are currently active.

Send an email to admin account when local and remote queue reach high levels.
We have a high volume mail server. If spam processing is slow, mainly due to the dns available yes, no, test feature - mail gets really backed up. It would be helpful if MDaemon could send a message to the admin warning of 300 messages in the local or remote queue, then remind every additional 100 messages. Send these notification messages to the top of the queue so they go out immediately.
5 votesHi Steve,
Thank you for sharing your idea to have MDaemon send warning messages if queues get backed up. It will be considered for future versions of MDaemon.

Dropbox or other file hosting services support for attachments
Recently (and less recently) companies like Mozilla and Yahoo has added third party support for attachments handling. So in Thunderbird you can use Box or YouSendIt and with Yahoo you now have Dropbox support.
If we could have such a support for MDaemon we could solve the disk wasting problem, due to growing need of large attachments that today is a common issue.
Currently MDaemon offers the attachment linking feature, but that is not very useful to solve or reduce this problem.

support contact-information from adressbook via LDAP - not only user-information
In order to use the contact-information from an adressbook (e.g. Contacts) also in several other software products (email, CTI, TAPI, ...) WITHOUT using MS Outlook or the MDaemon Outlook Connector (yes, there are more and more people around NOT using this software!) it it necessary to have access to the contact-information via a standard protocoll - i.e. LDAP (maybe ODBC or CardDAV).
But still more software packages support LDAP (eg. email-programs, CTI-packages). There is even a way to submit MDamon user information to an LDAP server. So it could be easy to just create an LDIF file from the contact…3 votesHello Jochen,
Thank you for sharing your idea. I’d like to make sure I’m understanding correctly. You would like to be able to configure MDaemon to mirror a public contacts folder to an LDAP server, is that correct?

Zero Inbox Filtering (server-side)
I have been using a service for a while that saves a lot of time by automatically filtering emails out of my inbox and into folders (it learns how I move emails to/from these folders). It would be really cool if MD could provide the same functionality to users. This raises productivity.

Thanks for sharing your idea for server side zero inbox filtering. We’ll consider this for future versions.

Return back to the top of the list
Hello,
As a daily worldclient user, the most complicated thing is the return back to the top of the email list.
I mean whatever changes I do on an old email from my box, automaticly it returns me to the top of the list. Here below some examples:
> when you pass an email from "read" to "unread"
> when you delete an old email
> when you classify in a folder an old email
For all these examples the page is updated and it returns back to the head of the list with the most recent email.
It makes…3 votesHello Yorick,

More detailed ACLs on Mailboxes
It would be very comfortable and helpful, if ACLs on Mailboxes were more differentiated. Particulary a differentiation between mailbox owner and those who have additional access to that mailbox is important when it comes to critical operations like deleting a entries.
Example:
If a user (e.g. secretary) has the rights to add and delete entries in a mailbox of his directors or colleague, he can not only delete the contacts and appointments which he added to this mailbox, but also the contacts and appointments which were maintained by the mailbox owner. So for business use cases it would be a…
