Add support for clustering
Allow for a two machine setup so that a user's mailbox can be located on two servers, such that the two mailboxes are synchronised in an IMAP like fashion. Both mail servers can receive mail via alternate MX records and update the user's local mailbox, which in turn gets synchronised with the corresponding mailbox in the alternate server.
Likewise a user can connect to either servers to read, delete or send mail and the other server's corresponding mailbox will get synchronised accordingly.
DNS caching could be limited to say 10 minutes, so within 10 minutes or less after…219 votesHello,
MDaemon 20.0.0 now includes support for clustering.
Thank you for sharing your idea with us!

Increase the maximum length of account passwords in MDaemon
The new password paradigm in security circles is "longer is better" -- but MDaemon is limited to 15 chars max for user passwords. More please! Like maybe 25-30 max?
18 votesHello David,
Thank you for sharing your idea to extend the maximum length of account passwords in MDaemon. MDaemon now allows passwords to be stored using non reversible encryption. When this option is used the maximum password length is 72 characters.

Favorites in WorldClient
In case of shared folders from different accounts, it would be an enormous advantage to set them as favorites. It takes too long to navigate into the different shared folders every time you log in the Web Mail System.
Once using MS Outlook this feature is available and of great help. Our colleagues would highly appreciate to use this feature in the WorldClient too.
Manually set favorites would be great, keep them in sync with MS Outlook would be even better.
34 votesHello,
Favorite folders were added in the LookOut theme for MDaemon 13.6.0.

Unify OutlookConnector and WorldClient user signatures
Unify Outlook Connectors and WorldClient private signatures so that when you configure a signature to be used in OutlookConnector it is also configured in WorldClient and when you set a signature in WorldClient it is set in OutlookConnector.
97 votesHello,
This functionality has been added to MDaemon.
Thank you all for your feedback.

Protect third party
At least access to gpec and mailstore can be protected by dynamic screening, which is done via mdaemon users.
And mdaemon to integrate third-party programs has a thread in which it writes the script for integration and appears in menus in mdaemon.
Clearly they have to develop them and anyway it applies to users who have been in contact with the mail server.
9 votesHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us. This is already possible. Dynamic Screening includes a publicly available API, although I don’t believe it has been documented. If any software vendors would like to access MDaemon’s Dynamic Screening functionality they will need to contact us so that we can provide the documentation.

Ability to Disable Hyperlinks in MDaemon Webmail
Smart Hackers, usually send Harmful Links in their normal E-mails, So if the users click on those links, they will go directly in the Hackers Fishing sites.
If we can Disable Links, this BIG Risk will lost or diminished .Best Regards, Jalal

autoresponder for addresses that are set as a public folder's
Now when a message is sent to the submission address, MDaemon routes it directly to that public folder and ignores all other settings in that e-mail account including the auto-responder!
3 votesHello,
Thank you for your suggestion to be able to configure autoresponders for addresses that are configured as a submission address for a public folder. This is already possible by creating a content filter rule that checks the X-MDaemon-Delivery to header for the submission address and then uses the send a note to action.
If you’d like additional assistance setting this up please contact our support team. All of our support options can be found at http://www.altn.com/support.

Share public calendar
With the version 18 I see that I can share a private calendar to anyone also without an MDaemon account.
But only the private calendars are sharable.
I suggest to add the ability to share also the public calendars.
Thanks.
Davide.1 voteHello,
Thank you for your suggestion to allow public folders to be shared. This is already possible in MDaemon 18.0. In order to share the folder you must have administrator access to the folder.
If you’d like further assistance please contact our technical support team. All of our support options are available at http://www.altn.com/support.

Continents, Country and Countries
Continents, Country and Countries
New Feature Requests
New Statistics Reports in MDaemon.
Continents, and possibly Countries
By Continent and Country: Messages accepted, Messages Refused
By Continent and Country: Successful Authentication Attempts, Failed Authentication Attempts.I would also like to see all logs of any authentication failures to indicate country of origin in the log possibly on the same log line to help provide some source information.
I would like to see a feature in the future that includes an alert to the mail admin anytime someone is able to successfully log in from a new continent, or another country.
This…
3 votesHello Tray,
Thank you for your suggestions to implement screening based on countries. The latest version of MDaemon already supports this functionality.

Flag email for follow up in world client.
Hello! It was brought to my attention by another user that in outlook there is the ability to flag an email for follow up. This would prompt you to enter a date for when you would like to follow up on the email and then re-send the email to you on that date to remind you to follow up. Figured I would throw it in here and see if it can be done!
3 votesHello,
MDaemon Webmail has a feature called email snooze that allows you to hide an email for a period of time. When the time period expires the message re-appears in the email folder. I believe this will provide the functionality you are looking for.

The ability to be notified about/reset expired active directory passwords through world client.
We use LDAP authentication and 90% of our users are remote. When their AD password expires they don't know it and they end up calling us because they cannot authenticate and are confused as to why. Is it a possibility to notify the users that their password has expired or is expiring and then allow them to reset it?
3 votesHello Ryan,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us to notify users about expired Active Directory passwords and then allow users to change their password. MDaemon Webmail now includes this functionality.

Allow multi users login with the same account by POP3 protocol
Please allow multi users login with the same account by PỎP3 protocol, I ask this feature because when user add the account by POP3 to their
gmail account, the gmail server open multi pop session and cannot login.1 voteHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us. Allowing multiple POP3 clients to login to the same account violates the POP3 RFC however, an option has been added to allow the administrator to allow multiple POP3 clients to be logged into the same account at the same time.

Mailing List From: Address
Please consider allowing configuration option to force Mailing Lists to use list email as "From" address. Some ISPs are blocking email from a mailing list user to themselves.
1 voteHello,
MDaemon 20.0.0 now includes an option to set the From header to be the email address of the list.

Create Domain-wide Email and Calendar Categories
Something for the future. Would it be possible to create Public Categories for Emails/Calendars that would apply across a domain.
I can see it being very useful to create company or school specific Categories with specific colours and these should be viewable in all accounts for that domain. I appreciate that this can only be done for Worldclient as it would be impossible to create categories that would sync with Em Client, Outlook etc, although it may be possible to integrate common categories into the Outlook Connector?
1 voteHello Robert,
Thanks for sharing your idea about domain categories. This is already possible in the current version of MDaemon. Below is the information from the release notes on how the system works.
WorldClient now allows admins to create custom categories. There are two files for this purpose; DomainCategories.json and PersonalCategories.json. Domain Categories are enabled globally by default. To disable it, change the value of DomainCategoriesEnabled in MDaemon\WorldClient\Domains.ini [Default:Settings] to “No”. Users are able to add and edit their own categories by default. To disable this either per user (in the user’s User.ini under [User]) or globally (in MDaemon\WorldClient\Domains.ini [Default:UserDefaults]) change the value of CanEditPersonalCategories to “No”. If Domain Categories is enabled, and a user is not allowed to edit personal categories, the user will only see the categories listed in DomainCategories.json. However, if Domain Categories is disabled, and a user is not allwed to edit personal categories, the user…

Add support for custom attributes in calendar items
Allow settings of custom attributes in calendar items (Something like custom attributes of EWS).
This would allow better integration of MD with third party applications.1 voteHello Pierre,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us. I see you have been discussing this topic with on of our developers on the MD-API discussion group. Custom iCalendar properties should already be persisted. We are continuing to investigate the issue.

Outlook Connector update
How about making the MDaemon Connector installation also uninstall the OC installation - currently it leaves the old OC installation in place ... very messy. Also, I know it's been a few years but the "Automatic Update" feature still doesn't work on 64-bit systems - but at least it's working on 32-bit systems now.
1 voteHello Edmund,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. There is a bug in the automatic update system that is preventing it from removing OC 5.0.1. The 64 bit automatic update system is working in the current version. If you are having problems with it, please contact our support team for further assistance. All of our support options can be found at www.altn.com/support.

Smart Folder for Worldclient
In Em Client which I use as my email program, I have the ability to setup a smart folder view for Drafts, Unread Email and Flagged Items.
Worldclient already has the ability to view drafts folder so thats ok. However having a folder for unread email and a folder for Flagged Items (that show categories) would drastically improve the usage of Worldclient.
If you look at Em Client website and Screenshots you will see their layout of Unread Emails and Flagged Emails. I cannot tell you how much my email management has improved by having these two folders. I consider…
1 voteHi Robert,
Thanks for your idea to add a Smart Folder to WorldClient. This is already possible using the Saved Searches Functionality. If you want saved searches to show up in your folder list, you’ll need to enable it under Options / Folders. Then simply save the searches based on your criteria.

Web Administration User Last Access Date
In the Mdaemon Gui (which I use) I can see the last login access date for each user. However, my clients need to use Web Admin to manage their domain. Using the Web Admin, they cannot see when a user last logged in to ensure that users are accessing their email regularly. Could this column be added.
1 voteHello Robert,
MDaemon Remote Administration has been updated to include the last accessed information.
