    Hi Pat,

I created a separate idea for having the copy of rules be disabled and show up immediately below the original rule. Feel free to vote for it at http://feedback.altn.com/forums/167172-welcome-to-alt-n-s-idea-engine/suggestions/4010303-copy-content-filter-rule-in-webadmin-should-disabl.

    Hello Michael,

Thank you for sharing your idea with us. Without knowing more about your setup I can’t say for sure but you may be able to improve performance by altering your configurations and/or optimizing the hardware that MDaemon uses. MDaemon is very I/O intensive but solid state drives are usually only necessary in very large installations. We have some recommended hardware specifications available by user size at http://www.altn.com/Products/MDaemon-Email-Server-Windows/System-Requirements/. Alternatively our technical support team would be happy to try to help optimize your server. If you are interested you can find all of our support options at http://www.altn.com/Support/. With all of that being said, thank you for your suggestion to optimize the message processing by making better use of the available RAM. We will consider this for future versions of MDaemon.

    Hello Arnold,

SecurityGateway is evaluating SPF and SenderID based on the specification for each. The SenderID specification includes the use of the Purported Responsible Address (PRA), which takes the From field into account.

There are many legitimate circumstances where the MAIL FROM address does not match the FROM address, rejecting messages based on this would likely yield false positives but adding a small value to the spam score could be beneficial.

Evaluating a sub domain based on the SPF and/or SenderID records of the parent domain could yield undesired results. In my opinion, the best approach if for domain owners to add SPF and SenderID records for each of their domains and subdomains. This allows the owner of the domain to tell the world who should and should not be sending email using that specific domain name.

With all that being said, we will consider adding the ability…
